Synopsis:
ACT 1
Frank Williams (40-50) and Lincoln Jones (40-50) are friends who played together as teens in a local Soul band that specialized in music by the group WAR. Amid scandals in the two main parties, Williams is elected as an Independent and makes his buddy, Congressman Jones, the Vice President. During the inauguration, an assassination attempt by a skinhead is thwarted. Williams is shot at, but still delivers the speech. Meanwhile, the skinhead leader, Dutch (20s) sets up a call girl named Kat (20s) with his uncle, the Speaker of the House, Congressman Hull (60s) who is disappointed the murder didn’t happen but vows that his fascist network will triumph.
ACT II (A)
Humorous and animated, President Williams and his administration are loved by the populace for building a strong economy, lack of corruption and progressive views towards social issues. The more introverted Jones, is brought out of his bookworm shell by Williams and encouraged to at least open a national debate about the possibility that slavery reparations should be considered. Although Williams is white, he pushes for it with passion. The skinheads, secretly funded by Hull, step up their bloody their domestic terrorism.
ACT II (B)
With speeches that are logical and to the point, Jones and Williams take their vision to the American people and the tour is marred by skinhead violence. Williams debates Hull on the topic and a cop, who is a skinhead sympathizer, attempts another Presidential assassination. In the attack, a beloved friend of both men dies. Jones and Williams are devasted and decide to take a break. Williams has had the genealogy of Jones researched and sends him to visit the kingdom of his ancestors in Africa. Williams and his wife will vacation on a secret private island on the Florida coast. Meanwhile, with the help of Hull, Dutch gets a job with the Secret Service guarding the President’s grown son. Dutch gets Kat to seduce the son, which allows Dutch to find the secret island he is vacationing on. The son is killed by Dutch and Kat is shot up with drugs and left to die in a ghetto alley. An assassination team of frogmen are sent to the island. As Jones discovers and celebrates his roots, Williams is shot dead on the beach.
ACT III
Emotionally crushed, Jones takes the Presidential oath of office inside Air Force One. He vows to catch the killers, but Dutch had detonated a hidden bomb inside the frogmen’s helicopters when they took off and their remains could not be identified. At the same time, Dutch releases what looks to be incriminating evidence that points to Jones as being behind the killing. Hull demands Jones to step down. In the meantime, Kat is rescued and tells about the assassination to her doctor, but no one believes her, until they see it on the news. The doctor manages to get the word to the inner circle of Jones and after they interview her, they devise a plan to bring down the attempted fascist coup. She wears a wire and meets Dutch who she gets to confess. Just before she is killed, FBI snipers take out Dutch. Jones and the widow of Williams confront Hull on the floor of Congress and have him arrested.
